Cartoons

"Drawing in a cartoon strip is infinitely more important than we may think, for our medium must compete with other entertainments, and if a cartoonist does nothing more than illustrate a joke, he or she is going to lose..." - Charles M Schultz, cartoonist

I have committed a cardinal sin, according to some. I have "hidden my light under a bushel" (Luke 8:16), that is my talent for cartooning. I guess I am guilty, for I have never been keen to broadcast it to the world that I can do some cartooning. It was a enjoyable experience to me, and I wanted to keep it fun, but somehwere in the flurry of the commercial world and its impassionate demands, I lost the joy of cartooning, of capturing humour with a few carefully drawn lines. I don't know I will ever return to that place of joy... Here are a few of my better works. The final colour works were done during my doomed career as a medical illustrator, hence the medical theme.
