In 1982, Pauline Gedge wrote a classic fantasy novel called "Stargate" (Nothing like the sci-fi Hollywood movie of the same name) I took one of the scenes described in the book and attempted to capture the imagery that was conjured by the book. Created with Bryce 3D on an old Pentium 120Mhz with only 64Mb of RAM. The render took over 28 hours to complete.
